Our Administrative Staff

The administrative staff at Bove & Langa consists of paralegals, legal assistants, administrative support, and office and billing managers. Our ability to provide our clients with top tier legal services depends in large part upon the dedication of these talented people.

		LORRAINE O'KEEFE has been with the firm for nearly twenty years and her importance in providing excellent service to our clients cannot be exaggerated. Not only does she greet every client by name -- she is our personal voice recognition system! -- but she also remembers details of family and circumstances which helps make the estate plan process more comfortable for our clients. In addition, Lorraine assists with essential tasks such as billing, client relations, and the general organization of the office. Lorraine adds warmth, caring, and efficiency to our operation. To most who are familiar with Lorraine's role here, the firm might be called "Bove, Langa & O'Keefe."
		KIM MCMAHON became the firm's office administrator in 2011, having served in a similar capacity for over fifteen years at a local $20 million produce company. During her tenure, Kim was a key contributor to that company's growth by recognizing the importance of customer service, financial management, and the integration of emerging technology within the workplace. She received an Associate of Science Degree at North Shore Community College and has taken a number of courses in accounting and business at Salem State College. When she is not adding a ray of sunshine, good humor and composure to our office, Kim enjoys long walks with her dogs amidst the crashing waves and sea breezes of her coastal community of Winthrop, and is determined to master the intricacies of the classical violin.
		JENNIFER COLLINS has been a paralegal at Bove & Langa for over eight years. In addition to assisting the attorneys with the drafting of simple estate planning documents, preparation of probate forms, administration of estates, and formation of business entities, Jennifer is also in charge of preparing accountings and managing ongoing administration matters for trusts of which one or more of the firm's attorneys serves as trustee. Jennifer received a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Northeastern University in 2007 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Covenant College in 2000. When not working her way through trusts, Jennifer enjoys mountain biking, going to the beach, and reading. Although a native of New Hampshire, Jennifer now calls Salem her home.
		MATTHEW LAPTEWICZ joined the firm in 2011 as a paralegal after having spent five years working as a legal assistant supporting the trust and estate and litigation practices of a well respected regional law firm. Matt received a B.S., Cum Laude in Finance, with a Minor in legal studies, from Bryant University. A great addition to our team, Matt assists attorneys with the drafting of certain estate plan documents, preparation of probate court forms, administration of estates and trusts, and the preparation of estate and gift tax returns. In his spare time, Matt enjoys playing soccer, biking around Boston, and travelling. Matt has been a Cambridge resident for the last five years.
		LAURA WULFSON is the firm's administrative assistant but is often known around the office as the "administrative assistant extraordinaire"! Laura assists the attorneys, paralegals and other support staff with a wide range of tasks including billing, filing, office management and client relations. Before joining Bove & Langa, Laura lived on a farm in central Virginia and worked as the farm's conference coordinator. She also worked on an island off the coast of Maine as the second chef at Cornell University's Shoals Marine Laboratory. Laura is a New Hampshire native and when she is not at the office, Laura pursues her passion and talent for photography and digital art.
		KRISTAN O'KEEFE joined the firm in 2011 as Executive Assistant. Originally from Florida, she attended Valencia Community College in Orlando before moving to the Boston area where she earned a Certificate in Paralegal Studies at Boston University. Kristan has extensive experience in the legal profession both in Florida and Massachusetts, utilizing her administrative and legal skills, as well as her engaging personality. She brings with her to Bove & Langa a great sense of professionalism to the fast paced and ever demanding position of supporting our two partners. Kristan has travelled extensively in the United States and Europe, while at home she enjoys needle crafts and reading. Kristan lives in Salem with her husband Bryan and their cat Sebastian.
